Inspired by a mural I saw in Kuala Lumpur, these peacocks took on a life of their own once I brought them to the watercolor paper.
The vermillion background is a departure from my usual palette—a nod to the bold colors I encountered throughout Malaysia. It demanded peacocks that could hold their own against it.
